Time Does Fly...

and it has been soaring around here. It has been brought to my attention that some people actually read this little diary of mine and want to know what is going on. Well the short list is --Scouts, soccer, piano recitals, orthodontist visits, school, Geometry (yes, that's school but it's taking on a whole life of its own these days!) camping -the boys, not all of us, yet... I'm buried under lab reports to grade and plans for finishing the year.

Aside from the normal, we had a fun visit with J's mom last week. She was here to provide moral and household support, which she so lovingly does for all her kids, even those of us by marriage. The highlight of that visit was a day spent picking strawberries and another making jam...Nothing better than fresh strawberry jam! I was able to make 27 jars this year, a bumper crop. THe berries were beautiful and oh so sweet!

Then yesterday I had a day to remember just for me. What a great day! I got in a soccer game for my daughter, and a long deep visit with a great friend. We seem to always pick up just where we left off, even when it's ages (or seems like it) between visits. I also had a long workout that left me sore all over today, but a good sore. Muscles that hadn't been used in a very long time are letting me know about it today. I needed that, too.

This Sunday will be a quieter one than usual since some of the evening activities have halted for summer. Just in time, I guess for my sanity. I'll work on that mountian of grading, plan meals for the week and shop, and try to get to bed early. I'm a bit tired :)
